Aspiring artists 'should make use of business cards'

Aspiring artists should make the most of business cards and consider designing the items themselves, it has been suggested.

Business cards are crucial for aspiring artists looking to promote themselves, one expert has argued.

In an article for Round Town News, owner of an art house on the Costa Blanca Julia Evans stated the items are a perfect complement to a website promoting a portfolio of work.

"Make sure that you have a few business cards ready to dish out, with your contact details and website address on it," she stated, adding this is the "easiest way" to get work seen by prospective customers, while the cards also help present an air of professionalism.

And artists should also consider designing the business cards themselves, Ms Evans remarked, while coming up with different versions means "you are also showing an example of your artwork" every time a card is handed out.

Earlier in the week, Shawn Collins suggested in an article for AffiliateTip.com unusual business cards - such as those shaped differently or made from unorthodox materials - are a good way of ensuring a firm sticks in the memory of a potential client.
