Business cards 'will remain popular' in the digital age

One expert believes the services provided by business card printers will continue to be in demand, even though use of devices such as iPads is growing.

The services provided by business card printers are still crucial to good networking in spite of the rising use of electronic devices at industry events.

This is the view of co-founder and chief operating officer of US firm PostNet Brian Spindel, who explained business cards "are one of those eternal staples for any profession" and are still "exchanged with regularity" in the digital age.

He urged those looking for business card printing to give careful consideration to the design of the item, as it is "the first and lasting impression" prospective clients will get of a company.

Any logos and colours used on the cards should match an enterprise's existing marketing materials, Mr Spindel observed, adding it is important not to "overdo" the design, as this can make it difficult to pick out the key information.

Ellen Reeves of Seattlepi.com recently explained they can be beneficial for those who are not in employment, as they give job hunters an air of professionalism.
