Flyers and leaflets 'great' for boosting website traffic

A marketing expert has spoken of the benefits flyers offer firms wanting to attract more visitors to their website.

Flyers and leaflets are ideal for companies looking to drive traffic to their website.

This is the suggestion of Dean Rieck, writing for MarketingProfs, who explained these promotional items have an advantage over their digital counterparts.

"Direct mail remains the one medium that gives you direct and reliable access to nearly everyone in your target market," he remarked.

Mr Rieck noted personalising flyers and leaflets can "attract attention and encourage reading", however he warned against going too "over-the-top" when creating a design.

The expert highlighted the importance of having an easy-to-type web address, as potential customers must enter it into their internet browser manually, rather than just clicking on a link.

He also urged businesses to give their target market a "powerful reason" to visit the website, such as a free trial, money-off coupons or complimentary samples.

Russell Parsons of Marketing Week recently stated that while direct marketing is not popular among recipients, it is more effective than many of its counterparts.
