Flyers 'should be linked to upcoming calendar events'

One expert has advised companies to use forthcoming events, such as Halloween, for their flyermarketing campaigns

Businesses using flyers as part of their marketing campaign should tie the design into any major upcoming events or holidays.

This is according to Jason Hanson, writing on the Bigger Pockets blog, who has advised firms in the real estate industry to use design a special campaign focused around Halloween.

He explained producing a flyer in a black and orange colour scheme means it is more likely to be read when put through the doors of recipients, while a themed headline will also catch the eye.

In addition, Mr Hanson urged companies that are considering adopting the method to set a deadline, saying real estate firms looking to buy property can "create a sense of urgency" among potential sellers by setting a cut-off date.

"You'll likely get more calls and hopefully do more deals," he observed.

His suggestions follow those of Naomi Finkel, who was recently quoted by the Venture County Star as saying the design of flyers should match the corporate image of a firm.
