Folded leaflet printing 'important for Christmas sales'
Grocers can increase their Christmas sales by using folded leaflet printing, it has been suggested.
Folded leaflet is one way for businesses to increase their revenue over the festive period, according to one writer.
In an article for The Grocer, Georgina Wild said shops ought to remind customers of all the products and services they offer via leaflets.
She noted research shows 45 per cent of people say they would shop more at their local stores if they could pay by card, so establishments should remind individuals if they provide cash back, as well as inform them about the lottery, drinks, Christmas specials and opening times.
"The leaflet does not need to be about price promotions. Some 34 per cent of shoppers say they buy items seen on a store's leaflet," Ms Wild continued.
Her comments echo those made recently by Andy Jarvis of Billington Cartmell in a piece for Marketing Week, who advised brands to resist the temptation to focus solely on price in their festive advertising.
