New HP produces to benefit UK printers?

The computer company has launched a range of new products aimed at print professionals.

HP has unveiled a new range of equipment that may be of use to UK printers looking to stay at the cutting edge of technology.

The computer giant has launched its HP Designjet Z6200 Photo Printer, which, it claims, is the "world's fastest, professional-quality large-format photo printer in its price class".

Designed to print content ranging from line drawings to outdoor signage, the device outputs at a resolution of 2,400 dots per inch and uses HP's range of Vivid photo inks.

According to the firm, these have a number of improvements over its previous range of inks, such as improved scratch resistance and gloss levels and a wider colour gamut.

"The new solutions help design teams collaborate across multiple locations, streamline processes and reduce costs," HP said in a statement.

MFRTech recently noted demand for environmentally-friendly technology is on the rise among printing firms, driven by requests from consumers that want to reduce their carbon footprint.
