One writer has noted the importance of professional-looking business cards for those who are job hunting.
Making use of the services offered by business card printing firms can help individuals who are searching for a job, it has been suggested.
In a blog for Seattlepi.com, Ellen Reeves explained a professionally-designed business card may give those looking for employment the edge.
"There's nothing less professional than having to write your email address on a dirty napkin or someone else's business card," she observed, adding the items are useful even for those who are not presently in a job, as they are a great way of getting contact details to people.
Ms Reeves said having a card "reveals that you consider yourself a professional" and urged people to design the items to reflect this, stating they should include well-presented contact details such as your name, email address and telephone number.
Her comments follow those made by Stefan Topfer, who wrote for Nasdaq.com that companies wanting to make a good impression should ensure their business cards are of a high standard.
